Exquisite Moments
Karina Garnett
Between 1996 and 2001 Fevered Sleep created a series of experimental projects that were the foundation for the company’s explorations of form, theme and process. This diverse body of work includes:
Inamorata: a visual theatre piece inspired by Angela Carter’s The Bloody Chamber.
Orlando: a free adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s novel.
Fantasy Party: a site-specific performance and party which took place in a domestic space.
Still Matter: a visual theatre piece about the body and technology.
Carpel and Stamen: a site-specific gardening performance.
Yarn: an installation and storytelling project which took place in total darkness.
Shore: a visual theatre piece that was a meditation on the rituals and textures of the British seaside holiday.
Exquisite Moments and Imperfect Endings: a performance about time, death and disappearance, created to celebrate the millennium.
Time of Our Lives: an installation in a North London shopping centre that was created in collaboration with a group of old people.
