We’ve always relied on the generosity of the many people and funders who have supported our work. Our earliest projects, back when we started out in 1996, were funded through car boot sales and sponsored bike rides.
Now, we’re supported by Arts Council England through National Portfolio Funding, through trusts and foundations, and through the money we earn from our projects and activities.
Our core funding covers less than half of our operating costs. This means that every donation we receive from anywhere else makes a real difference to what we do, allowing us to create more projects, with more people, across the country - in schools, in shops, in theatres and galleries, and online.
