Hear how to pronounce my name here.

We set up the company in 1996 and we’ve been the artistic directors ever since.

I was born in Denbigh in North Wales but did most of my growing up in Reading surrounded by my 6 siblings and the many foster siblings we shared our home with.

After school, when I was lost for a direction, the wise leader of Reading Youth Theatre guided me towards the Middlesex University performing arts degree. As a ‘mature’ student there I met David; we started making work together right away, took our very experimental graduation show to a London theatre, and we grew the company from there!

Alongside raising my children, and leading Fevered Sleep, I also ran a theatre school for children for some years before devoting most of my time to the company – creating, directing and designing all the work alongside David.

I devote most of my time to the company – creating, directing and designing all the work alongside David.

I also work as a freelance lecturer, workshop leader and mentor as well as creating my own work outside the company.

I now live in Hastings where I’m happiest just looking at or swimming in the sea. I also love to sing in a choir, volunteer for community, refugee and homeless groups, and do lots of walking and yoga.
