What is power?

Every few months we explore a subject we feel it’s important to think and talk about.

Structures and hierarchies of power define everything we do. How we think, how we feel, how we speak and how we interact.

Who is seen and unseen? Who is heard and unheard? Who wields power and who is disempowered? And what does it mean to be powerful?

Over recent months we’ve been collaborating with Alleyne&, a cultural strategy, research and consultancy company led by Suzanne Alleyne, looking at how care, compassion, curiosity and power intersect in Fevered Sleep’s work.  Inspired by Suzanne’s research project Neurology of Power, there’s never been a more important time to ask: what is power?
